Description

Lockheed Martin Skunk Works is hiring a Mission Processing Software Engineer to support the development and maintenance of platform-level software for ISR and UAS systems. The role focuses on deployable system images, middleware and service integration, configuration management, image creation and validation, lab and test deployment, and peer code reviews. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, software development experience, C++/Bash/Python experience, Linux experience, and familiarity with GitLab CI/CD. The position requires U.S. citizenship, a Secret clearance updated within the last five years, and may require up to 10% travel.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
Required Previous Experiences: Software development process experience in a team environment, including peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, and defect tracking
Experience with C++, Bash shell, or Python
Experience with Linux operating systems
Preferred Qualifications: Red Hat Linux experience
Experience building and debugging applications in Linux-based development environments
Exposure to Make and CMake build environments
Exposure to hardware and software integration
Exposure to scripting, automation, or build tooling
Exposure to version control systems and team-based development workflows
Familiarity with Agile workflow tools and collaborative version-control practices
