Liftoff is hiring a Software Engineer for its Machine Learning Data Platform team to design, engineer, and implement reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient systems supporting data lake infrastructure, dataset generation, model training, analytics, reporting, and monitoring. The role uses AWS, PyTorch, PySpark, Trino, Hive, Iceberg, Clickhouse, and other tools, requires strong Python and Golang coding ability and core computer science fundamentals, and seeks 6+ years of industry experience. The position is hybrid, with two days per week in Redwood City or San Francisco, and offers a base salary of $180,000–$230,000 in the San Francisco Bay Area.
