Description
Northrop Grumman is hiring a Software Functional Manager for the MDC2 family of programs in Melbourne, Florida. The role combines approximately 15% to 20% functional management of a 12- to 15-person engineering team with 80% to 85% direct technical software development work, including C++ and embedded systems, software design, testing, requirements, and integration. Responsibilities include mentoring, performance management, hiring support, project staffing, technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and program management activities. The position requires a STEM degree and 5 to 9 years of relevant experience depending on the degree, prior lead or management experience, software development experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government secret clearance and special program access clearance. The primary salary range is $139,100 to $208,700.
