Google is hiring a Software Engineer Manager to lead the engineering team for core commerce experiences. The role manages and mentors engineers, expands protocol capabilities, launches agentic shopping features across Google surfaces, provides technical direction, and collaborates with cross-functional partners to deliver user experiences. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, full-stack development experience, technical leadership experience, and people-management experience. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
