Description
New Relic is hiring an Engineering Manager (M3) to lead a senior, high-performing team building next-generation Database Observability products. The role owns the full lifecycle of database telemetry data flows, including agents, high-throughput ingestion pipelines, recommendation engines, and autonomous AI agents. Responsibilities include setting technical direction, managing sprint planning and delivery, guiding AI and distributed-systems architecture, partnering with Product and Design, hiring and mentoring engineers, and building DevOps and reliability practices. The role requires 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years managing engineering teams, along with backend and distributed-systems expertise and familiarity with database engines, CI/CD, microservices, containerization, and production observability.
