Google is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team on the GCS Resource Engineering team, focusing on capacity planning, high-throughput product reliability, resource efficiency, and supply for AI/ML workloads. The role owns strategy and outcomes for systems such as the Bandwidth Highway and Rapid Cache, guides complex technical work, coordinates with GCS, Networking, Compute, and Data Center teams, and drives automation and network optimization. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, and experience in large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute, storage, hardware architecture, technical leadership, and people management. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
