Ensera Design is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement microcontroller-based firmware in embedded C/C++ for a greenfield medical device. The role involves developing real-time MCU software, supporting subsystems and integration with hardware, Linux, UI, connectivity, and test teams, maintaining coding standards, investigating faults, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates should have 3–5 years of embedded firmware experience, C or C++ skills, RTOS experience, and familiarity with safety-critical development; STM32, bootloaders, MISRA, communication protocols, and MCU cybersecurity are desirable. The role offers flexible hybrid working and a salary of up to £53,000.
