Description
The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain server-side PHP applications and legacy systems for the NSWCPD team, including distributed web applications, databases, frameworks, APIs, interfaces, and enterprise architecture. The role includes debugging, maintenance, QA testing, code documentation, code reviews, and potentially serving as an Agile Scrum Master. Required qualifications include at least six years of experience delivering advanced multi-tier, distributed web-application solutions, strong PHP and database skills, and the ability to obtain a security clearance; a bachelor's degree, CompTIA Security+ certification, and experience with LAMP, RESTful APIs, modern web frameworks, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, and unit testing are preferred or specified.
