Description
Google is hiring a Software Engineer for its Pixel Core Memory team to own end-to-end memory and storage innovation across Pixel software. The role covers the storage stack and DDR bring-up, including filesystems, I/O schedulers, block and SCSI layers, UFS core drivers, and DRAM SoC drivers. Responsibilities include optimizing Android I/O performance, managing flash storage, implementing upstream Linux and Android kernel changes, debugging core filesystems, and contributing to emerging UFS and UFSHCI standards. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, 5 years of software product testing and launch experience, 5 years of embedded operating systems experience, and 3 years of Linux Kernel experience. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
