Description

Lockheed Martin's Rotary & Mission Systems is hiring a full-time Software Engineer for its Platform Services team. The role supports Mission Integrated Command & Control Line of Business programs by developing, testing, integrating, and deploying Platform-as-a-Service solutions, including COTS and GOTS software, middleware services, and microservices. The engineer will travel between Lockheed Martin and customer sites and must obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance. The position requires a relevant bachelor's degree, programming and scripting knowledge, systems analysis and testing experience, and familiarity with cloud, DevSecOps, infrastructure automation, and software test automation. The listed salary range is $75,000 to $142,760, with medical, dental, vision, flexible work arrangements, and other benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems
Required Previous Experiences: Experience developing test scripts and software test drivers for middleware services
Experience identifying and isolating system defects during integration and testing
Experience designing and provisioning PaaS infrastructure with service mesh, orchestration, storage, discovery, and messaging
Experience migrating monolithic applications to microservices and containerized services on PaaS
Experience with DevSecOps platforms and configuration management, including GitLab
Experience with IT automation technologies for infrastructure and application management, including Ansible
Experience with test diagnostics tools, including debuggers, message injectors, hardware and network analyzers, and simulators
Experience with software test automation
Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of cloud concepts, virtualization, IaaS, PaaS, and cloud delivery models
Understanding of cloud security policies
