Meta is hiring a Software Engineer focused on machine learning systems to shape the technical direction of ML infrastructure, modeling, and applied AI across its AI-powered products and platforms. The role owns scalable architecture for training pipelines, inference, and feature engineering; solves complex ML systems challenges; establishes frameworks and standards; leads cross-functional strategy; applies AI-native tooling; defines performance and reliability metrics; mitigates privacy and integrity risks; mentors engineers; and influences the broader ML engineering community. The position requires a relevant bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of experience designing and deploying large-scale machine learning systems in production.
