TheGuarantors is hiring a Software Engineer - Risk Solutions to own a portion of its auto-underwriting and pricing infrastructure, including decisioning systems that determine applicant approval or decline and pricing. The role covers requirements through development, QA, production, technical design, code reviews, and collaboration with Product, Design, Operations, Risk analysts, and Engineering. It requires 5+ years of backend engineering experience, advanced SQL and PostgreSQL skills, distributed systems and microservice knowledge, cloud and infrastructure experience, and the ability to manage complex features end to end. The position is hybrid in New York City and offers a base salary of $160,000–$195,000 annually.
