Google Cloud is hiring a Software Engineer for its Sequencing team to own complex, ambiguous challenges in an API-first, configurable, extensible, and AI-powered deployment platform. The role leads the design and implementation of scalable back-end systems and external APIs for hybrid and cloud-native environments, integrates AI/ML and agentic development to improve deployment reliability and outage detection, aligns strategy across groups, and fosters technical excellence. The position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, and experience with software design, architecture, back-end systems, and technical leadership.
