Description

GDIT is seeking a Software Engineer SME to join their team at Camp Smith, HI, to support USINDOPACOM J6 IT Modernization Project Support activities. The role involves supporting IT modernization projects from requirements definition through planning, integration, testing, and transition, collaborating with technical teams to mature prototypes and improve enterprise capabilities, and leading software engineering analysis and application modernization efforts. The successful candidate will work with users and technical teams to translate mission needs into maintainable software requirements and implementation plans, and collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Technical training, certification(s), or equivalent experience.
Required Previous Experiences: 15+ years of relevant experience supporting the role, mission area, or equivalent DoD/enterprise IT environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting USINDOPACOM, combatant command, service component, or joint/coalition mission environments.
Experience working in government site environments and coordinating with military and civilian stakeholders.
