Airwallex is hiring a Backend Engineer for its Spend team under the Accounting Hub, based in Melbourne. The role designs and implements scalable, secure backend services and APIs for credit-card and spend-management functionality, owns features from design through production, contributes to backend architecture, and provides technical mentorship. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least two years of professional software engineering experience, production backend and API experience, strong computer-science fundamentals, proficiency in a backend language, cloud and container experience, and a focus on reliability and code quality.
