Lockheed Martin Space is hiring a C++ Software Engineer to develop high-performance simulations of space-based payload processing for OPIR data used in missile warning and defense programs. The role translates FPGA-based algorithms into functionally equivalent C++ implementations, models processing pipelines, validates CPU and FPGA implementations, supports software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing, analyzes mission and sensor data, and optimizes software for large datasets. The position is based in Boulder, Colorado, and requires a relevant technical degree, strong C++ and x86/Linux experience, FPGA familiarity, and the ability to obtain a Secret government clearance.
