Tailscale is hiring a Strategic Projects Engineer to join its AI-native Strategic Projects team and help turn prototype software into dependable, production-grade products. The role partners with product-minded engineers, hardens and operationalizes prototypes, establishes review, testing, and security practices for agent-generated code, and works with reference customers on integrations. It requires Go experience, basic networking, coding-agent and LLM workflow expertise, and strong independent remote work skills; light travel is required. The position is fully remote and offers a US base salary of $163,000–$226,000 plus equity and benefits.
