Lam Research is hiring a Software Engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for semiconductor equipment, including embedded systems, industrial control systems, automation applications, and customer-facing software. The role involves maintaining code, implementing customer requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting solutions, and mentoring junior engineers. It requires a relevant bachelor’s degree, embedded or industrial computing experience, knowledge of Windows, Linux, and real-time operating systems, scripting and networking skills, and industrial fieldbus experience. The position may involve customer-site support and less than 10% travel, with hybrid On-site Flex or Virtual Flex work models and a San Francisco Bay Area salary range of $99,000 to $220,000.
