Description
Lam Research is hiring a Software Engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software control systems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The role supports design, infrastructure, and technology platforms; works with hardware, process, and cross-functional engineering teams; maintains and enhances code; documents solutions; mentors junior engineers; and may visit customer sites with less than 10% travel. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field with 5+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with no prior professional experience, along with embedded software, distributed systems, real-time operating systems, C/C++/Java/Python, multithreading, source control, testing, and debugging experience. Preferred qualifications include semiconductor equipment experience, Agile/Scrum experience, and Smalltalk/VisualWorks skills. The role offers hybrid On-site Flex or Virtual Flex work models, with a San Francisco Bay Area salary range of $99,000 to $220,000.
