Google is hiring a software engineer for its Technical Infrastructure team to provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, influence and coach distributed engineering teams, manage priorities and deliverables, and design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions. The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, and substantial experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute, storage, hardware architecture, software testing, and software design and architecture. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, extensive data structures and algorithms experience, technical leadership experience, and experience in complex matrixed organizations. The position offers a US salary of $207,000–$301,000 plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits, and typically requires in-person interviews.
