Meta is hiring an experienced Software Engineer for its Software Engineering (Infrastructure) team, which builds large distributed components serving millions of requests per second. The role focuses on driving technical direction, communicating complex systems, assessing technologies, improving team and organizational performance, identifying staffing and prioritization opportunities, leading long-term cross-company technical vision and roadmaps, and synthesizing requirements. Candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, at least 12 years of C, C++, Java, and/or C# coding experience, 12+ years building server applications and systems, and extensive experience leading large engineering efforts, cross-functional initiatives, and engineering teams.
