Description

HARMAN is hiring a Software Engineer - Terraform for its Observability Team in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The role provides technical leadership for observability platform architecture, infrastructure-as-code automation with Terraform, CI/CD, AWS cloud, monitoring, alerting, cost optimization, governance, and platform reliability. Responsibilities include architecture and design reviews, troubleshooting, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with application, infrastructure, security, finance, and other stakeholders. The position requires hands-on experience with Datadog or similar observability platforms, Terraform, CI/CD, DevOps, platform engineering, AWS, GitLab CI, Python, and scalable platform governance.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Hands-on experience with Datadog or similar observability platforms
Strong knowledge of Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD
Strong experience in DevOps, platform engineering, and AWS Cloud
Hands-on experience with the Safe Agile framework
Basic knowledge of Python
Experience designing and implementing scalable platform solutions and governance models
Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across a team
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of CI, infrastructure, APM, RUM, and log monitoring
Knowledge of GitLab CI and GitLab pipeline design
Understanding of cloud infrastructure, monitoring, security, access management, and cost optimization
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
Ability to document features and capabilities
