Description
The Software Engineer Trainee will join ALMA’s Software Group and participate in software deployment, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, operations support, maintenance, and application development. The role is designed for engineers without prior experience and is supervised by group managers, technical leads, and experienced colleagues. It is based in Santiago with possible remote hybrid work, may require trips to the Operations Support Facility and overseas travel, and includes a one-year contract renewable for another year before becoming indefinite. Applicants need a relevant university degree, C++/Java and Linux/Unix knowledge, software development and DevOps familiarity, communication skills, intermediate-to-advanced English, and a valid Chile work permit.
