Vespa.ai is hiring a full-time Software Engineer, Vespa Core (Java) to develop and improve Java components of its open-source AI search platform, including the jdisc application container, JVM runtime, APIs, configuration model, and component framework. The role focuses on performance, resource efficiency, robustness, JVM tuning, distributed systems, and production issue resolution, with collaboration on C++ search and content engines and Vespa Cloud. It is a senior individual-contributor position based on-site at the Trondheim office, with flexibility to work from home or remotely when agreed with the manager.
