Description

CodiLime is hiring an AI Engineer to build and operate production Python services for a multi-tenant B2B commercial execution platform. The role focuses on FastAPI, SQL, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and the integration of generative AI features such as LLM APIs, prompt design, tool calling, workflow orchestration, guardrails, and observability. The engineer will also maintain automated tests, apply security-first practices for tenant isolation and access control, collaborate with product and data teams, and evaluate AI workflows for quality, latency, cost, and reliability. The position is fully remote, in-office, or hybrid.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python
Experience with FastAPI and Pydantic, including endpoint design, dependency injection, models, validators, authentication, and error handling
Experience designing REST APIs with versioning, error semantics, token management, retries, OAuth 2.0/Okta, JWT, and RBAC
Experience with automated testing using pytest
Strong SQL fundamentals and hands-on PostgreSQL experience from Python, including ORMs, database drivers, and synchronous versus asynchronous driver trade-offs
Experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions
Experience integrating LLM APIs into production applications, including prompt design, tool/function calling, and handling non-deterministic output
Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Codex on a daily basis
Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS application security
Ability to evaluate AI features and monitor quality, latency, cost, and reliability
Product mindset and ownership, taking features from idea to production
Strong communication skills and English knowledge at minimum C1 level
Preferred Qualifications: LLM evaluation and observability tooling, including LangSmith, Langfuse, Arize Phoenix, or OpenTelemetry
Systematic prompt optimization using versioned prompts, A/B tests, or DSPy
Agentic patterns including multi-step orchestration, context management, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop
RAG and vector search with pgvector or Pinecone, and LangChain or LangGraph
Experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse
Experience with Temporal, WebSockets, Redis, and pub/sub
Working knowledge of React and TypeScript for small front-end changes
