Description
Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer to build and operate production-grade generative AI and multimodal systems for Azure Content Understanding. The role owns systems from concept through deployment and service operations, contributes to retrieval-augmented generation, context and memory, and orchestration, improves model and system quality through evaluation and telemetry, and partners with security, privacy, compliance, product, and customers. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least two years of technical engineering experience; preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, experience with prompt engineering, RAG, memory and agent frameworks, enterprise AI products, and MLOps. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 102,100–202,200 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
