The role manages Software Team Leads, performance evaluations, career progression, and succession planning, while maintaining technical standards, architectural reviews, technical debt strategies, and software verification practices. It requires a degree in software engineering or a related technical field, at least 10 years of software engineering experience, functional or engineering-team leadership experience, and experience managing geographically distributed teams.
