Description
Verkada is hiring a Software Engineering Intern for its Backend Engineering team to work on scalable distributed systems, high-concurrency storage, databases, messaging, Terraform, Kubernetes, computer vision, APIs, and microservice architectures. The internship is on-site at Verkada’s headquarters in San Mateo, California, with work during winter or summer 2027 and graduation by June 2028. Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a similar technical field, have prior product-development internship experience, and be familiar with Python or Golang, distributed systems, operating systems, AWS, Docker, and related technologies. The role offers an estimated hourly pay range of $55–$65 USD, housing stipend, wellness and commuter benefits, and visa sponsorship.
