Amazon is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow a software development team responsible for the embedded software controlling individual Leo satellites. The role owns the team's charter, vision, and 1–2 year product roadmap; defines technical direction and architectural decisions; partners with cross-functional teams; establishes engineering practices and reliability metrics; and coaches engineers across multiple levels. The position requires extensive software engineering and team-management experience, distributed systems expertise, and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. It is based in Redmond, Washington, with a base salary of 184,900 to 250,200 USD annually.
