Description
Google is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of 8–9 engineers focused on low-level embedded software, firmware, device bring-ups, bootloaders, embedded controllers, and open-source coreboot and Zephyr OS projects for ChromeOS devices. The role also involves improving code scalability and maintainability, collaborating with ODMs, OEMs, chip vendors, and global teams, and managing project goals and product strategy. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, and experience with embedded operating systems, technical leadership, and people management. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
