Description
Google is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership across multiple teams and locations, manage project goals and budgets, develop technical roadmaps, guide large-scale distributed-systems and machine-learning solutions, and coach engineers. The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, eight years of experience in distributed systems, software architecture, and system design, three years of technical leadership experience, two years of people-management experience, and experience with data structures, algorithms, Java, C++, system architecture, software development, database design, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, experience leading large-scale distributed-systems teams, and experience in complex matrixed organizations. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
