Google is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact team responsible for architecting, expanding, and maintaining the end-to-end testing platform and quality gates for Google’s agentic ecosystem. The role manages engineers across multiple teams and locations, contributes to product strategy, oversees large-scale project deployment, and establishes automated release gates to prevent regressions. It requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, 3 years of technical leadership experience, 2 years of people or team leadership experience, and experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces. Preferred qualifications include engineering management experience, agentic experience, Google Cloud Platform knowledge, stakeholder management, and customer satisfaction focus. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
