Google is hiring a Software Engineering Manager for its Business Agent team to lead applied AI, low-latency scoring, automated evaluation, knowledge-library and RAG integrations, autonomous execution tooling, and Universal Commerce Protocol. The role manages and mentors software engineers, owns architecture and roadmaps, and partners with Product, Data Science, UX, and platform teams. It requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, eight years of backend-focused programming experience, and experience with LLM evaluation, distributed systems, and software-engineering management. The position offers USD 207,000–300,000 plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
