Google Cloud is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to set team priorities, develop technical roadmaps, guide systems design, write product or system code, review other engineers’ work, and provide performance feedback and coaching. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, 3 years of technical leadership experience, and 2 years of people or team leadership experience. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, experience in complex matrixed organizations, and familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, or on-premises environments. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
