Google Silicon is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead software strategy, architecture, and execution for pre-silicon and post-silicon validation across custom SoC families. The role manages engineers across multiple teams and locations, oversees a large product budget, and coordinates deployment of large-scale projects internationally. Responsibilities include delivering boot platform software and low-level drivers, developing firmware and system software for power, peripherals, memory, and other IP blocks, and mentoring engineers on architecture, code quality, and engineering best practices. The position requires a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of embedded systems and driver experience, 2 years of people-management experience, and experience with embedded systems, RTOS, device drivers, and hardware/software integration.
