Google is hiring a Software Engineering Manager for its Persistent Disk team to build high-performance storage clients for virtualized and bare-metal environments supporting Google Compute Engine virtual machines. The role combines technical leadership, product and system roadmap development, team performance and coaching, code review, and guidance of large-scale storage projects across multiple teams and international locations. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, 3 years of technical leadership experience, 2 years of people or team leadership experience, and experience architecting and implementing storage solutions in cloud environments.
