Description

Google is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead and scale a global engineering organization of approximately 15 software engineers for the Geo Auto team. The role sets technical strategy for infrastructure, developer tools, and platforms serving OEMs and the automotive industry, supports advanced driver assistance and autonomous driving systems, and integrates Generative AI and large language models into developer workflows. The manager partners with product leaders, global leadership, and external OEM partners while mentoring engineers and overseeing large-scale international deployments.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: 8 years of software development experience
7 years of experience building large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture
5 years of people management or team leadership experience
Experience with machine learning, generative AI, reinforcement learning, or large language models
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Automotive-sector experience building infrastructure, developer tools, or platforms for OEMs, ADAS, or autonomous driving ecosystems
Experience applying AI and machine learning to software development challenges
Experience with simulation environments, A/B testing frameworks, or large-scale data processing infrastructure
Experience in complex matrixed organizations and cross-team solution development
