The role combines technical leadership with hands-on involvement in architecture, implementation, code review, and the evaluation of coding agents and automation. Responsibilities include setting technical direction, delivering reliable software, improving engineering performance, and shaping Spellbook’s engineering strategy. Candidates need at least five years of software development experience, including technical leadership in a fast-moving environment, along with strong system design, web development, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node, and AWS experience. The role is limited to candidates in the Greater Toronto Area.
