Description
Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineering Manager - Build and Tools for its Data Processing Unit (DPU) team. The manager will own the strategy and roadmap for developer productivity infrastructure, lead availability and operational excellence of pre-silicon and early-silicon development environments, manage the DPU Tools and Build ecosystem, build cross-functional partnerships, and track productivity metrics such as build latency, test throughput, and onboarding time. The role requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, along with Microsoft security screening. Preferred qualifications include people management experience, cross-functional build-system leadership, multi-year roadmap experience, distributed systems and cloud expertise, and Azure or DevOps experience. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 142,800 to USD 274,800 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
