Description
Gusto is hiring an Engineering Manager for its Money Movement team, which owns payment rails, bank and provider integrations, APIs, routing logic, and operational payment tooling. The role leads and coaches engineers, recruits and onboards team members, owns reliability and SLOs for tier-1 payment systems, drives modularization into a standalone service, and collaborates with Product, Design, Data, Payment Operations, Accounting, and Treasury. Candidates need at least 8 years of relevant programming experience, 3 years of engineering management experience, payments-platform experience, a bachelor’s degree in a computer-related discipline, and familiarity with AI tools. The role is based in Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City, with hybrid office expectations of approximately 2–3 days per week.
