Description

BrightOrder is hiring a fully remote Software Manager to lead and coach a software engineering team while owning the full software delivery lifecycle, including planning, sprint execution, release management, architecture, code quality, production reliability, and incident response. The role requires hands-on backend and frontend development, AWS and containerization expertise, and experience with B2B SaaS delivery. It offers a CAD 115,000–125,000 base salary plus health, dental, and vision benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience writing production code
3+ years of experience managing and coaching software engineers in a team environment
Hands-on experience with AWS services
Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
Backend development with .NET or Node.js and frontend development with React and TypeScript
Experience leading Agile/Scrum delivery, sprint execution, and release management
Experience leading production operations, incident response, and reliability practices
Experience collaborating with Product stakeholders on roadmaps and requirements
Experience working in a B2B SaaS product environment
Preferred Qualifications: Security clearance with the Government of Canada
Bilingual in English and French
Experience in fleet management, telematics, or ELD software
