Description
The Software Engineering Manager leads software engineers and team leads, manages staffing and resources, and supports the technical health and delivery of complex software products. The role combines people leadership with deep technical knowledge of software architecture, system design, interfaces, debugging, testing, and modern development practices. Responsibilities include coaching engineers, managing hiring and performance, allocating resources, supporting project planning and estimates, coordinating with engineering and other disciplines, and helping teams make sound technical tradeoffs. The position is primarily office-based, may require occasional travel, and requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field plus at least 8 years of professional software engineering experience and 2 years leading software engineers or technical teams.
