Character.AI is seeking a Software/ML Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate with product, data science, and data platform teams to design and implement applied machine learning models and infrastructure for one of the fastest-growing native AI consumer applications. You will be responsible for optimizing models, data pipelines, and model training/serving infrastructure, as well as working on ML backend systems to power discovery surfaces like recommendations, ranking, and search. The ideal candidate is proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
