Pony.ai is hiring a Software or Algorithm Engineer for its autonomous-driving planning team. The role focuses on designing reliable planning systems, developing computational geometry and numerical algorithms, improving autonomous-vehicle decision-making with machine learning, building large-scale road-test data infrastructure, analyzing and simulating virtual-driver performance, creating internal engineering tools, and collaborating on safety, road-rule compliance, and ride quality. Candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least two years of software engineering experience, proficiency in a mainstream programming language, knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and the ability to lead ambiguous technical work through delivery. The position offers a $140,000–$220,000 annual base salary and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
