Description
Snohomish County Public Works is hiring a Solid Waste Maintenance Technician I to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and fabricate equipment and structures at seven solid waste facilities across Snohomish County. The role covers hydraulic and mechanical systems, steel welding and cutting, carpentry, plumbing, heavy equipment, and grounds maintenance, with a Monday–Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. schedule and possible promotion to Technician II after two years and required training. Applicants must meet specified mechanical, welding, carpentry, and plumbing experience or training requirements, pass proficiency tests and interviews, and satisfy post-offer medical, physical, and background checks.
