Description
The Solid Waste Assistant supports landfill and transfer-station operations, safety, traffic flow, and grounds maintenance. The role performs routine and non-routine manual labor, cleans and maintains facilities and equipment, operates light and heavy equipment, removes snow, cleans drainage structures, and provides training to temporary or subordinate employees. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of manual labor experience including six months in a heavy industrial environment, a valid driver’s license, and safe driving record. The position is outdoors in all weather conditions, may require shift work, and involves physically demanding work.
