Description
The City of Ann Arbor is hiring a Public Works Supervisor to develop, facilitate, and assist Public Works Technicians in collecting solid waste through side-load, rear-load, and front-load operations. The role also includes cross-training in maintenance and repair of city infrastructure, including forestry, streets, water distribution, sanitary and stormwater collection systems, and grounds and facility maintenance. The position works Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with some Saturdays required, and offers a starting hourly rate of $34.63 plus medical, vision, dental, paid vacation, sick, and holiday leave. A high school diploma or GED is required, while two years of supervisory experience, two years of solid waste experience, and experience supervising union employees are preferred. A valid driver's license and daily field work are expected.
