Description
The City of Pasadena's Public Works Department is hiring a Solid Waste Truck Operator II to drive a three-axle refuse packer truck on rotating routes and operate automated controls to lift, dump, and replace refuse containers at the curb. The role includes route checks, vehicle inspections, dispatch communication, disposal-area operations, reporting, safety practices, customer inquiries, truck servicing, and evaluating operations personnel. Candidates need one year of refuse collection or related experience, including operation of a 3-axle automated refuse packer, with three or more years preferred. A valid Class B California Driver's License is required at appointment and for continued employment.
