Description
The role operates and maintains solids-control equipment on oilfield drilling rigs, including shale shakers, mud cleaners, hydrocyclones, centrifuges, vacuum degassers, agitators, and mixing systems. Responsibilities include closed-loop operations, heavy equipment operation, rig-ups and rig-downs, troubleshooting, minor repairs, equipment analysis, sampling, reporting, customer and crew communication, training other employees, and general labor. The position requires land-rig experience, solids-control and drilling-fluids knowledge, mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and willingness to work extended shifts, rotational schedules, weekends, and extreme weather.
