Description

This posting combines two related positions within Regulatory Strategy: a Data Architect and a Solution Architect. The Data Architect partners with Regulatory, product, engineering, data science, and technology stakeholders to create scalable data architectures, models, governance frameworks, integration artifacts, and semantic-layer capabilities including ontology management, graph/RAG, cataloging, and content vectorization for generative AI. The Solution Architect designs scalable cloud-native technical systems for Global Regulatory Affairs, producing business, process, data, application, integration, infrastructure, workflow, and agentic-orchestration architecture artifacts. The role requires expertise in AWS and Azure architecture, machine learning and generative AI, APIs and integration, content management, relational databases, cloud infrastructure, regulated systems, workflow automation, LLMs, and stakeholder leadership, with 10% travel.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, data science, or scientific field.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect in pharmaceutical development.
At least 5 years of experience designing and operationalizing integrations, including REST APIs, Kafka, ETL, data pipelines, API gateways, and data streaming.
At least 5 years of experience with content management platforms and structured relational databases.
At least 5 years of experience architecting and deploying cloud-native scalable solutions on AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
At least 2 years developing content vectorization and graph/RAG strategies for generative AI initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications: AWS Well-Architected Framework certification.
AWS or other IaaS machine learning, generative AI, or agentic AI certification.
Experience with Snowflake and Denodo.
Understanding of Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, including its capabilities, data, content, and terminology.
Experience designing regulated systems subject to GxP, HIPAA, GDPR, or similar requirements.
Proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar machine learning frameworks.
Track record designing robust, highly available, scalable, flexible solutions for multinational users and health authorities.
Willingness to travel approximately 10%.
